There is an error (api-ms-win-core-version-l1-1-1.dll) when running Sea of Thieves. This error occurs shortly after running the game. The error says "The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-version-l1-1-1.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem".
This error is usually encountered with players who bought the game on Steam and whose operating system is Windows 7/8.
Sea of Thieves requires Windows 10. Therefore, it is not possible for Windows 7 or 8 users to play Sea of Thieves.
If you want to play the SOT on PC, you have to upgrade your operating system to Windows 10.
Here's what you need to run SoT on your PC: Intel Q9450 2.6GHz or AMD Phenom II X6 3.3 GHz CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 or AMD Radeon 7750 GPU, 4 GB RAM. And the most important thing, Sea of Thieves can run on PC system with Windows 10 64-bit.
Sorry, you can only play the SoT on Windows 10 or Xbox One. There is no way to fix this.
