"Engine Error 0x887A0006 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG The applications device failed due to badly formed commands snt by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed."

I would like to share with you some methods to solve this error.

FIX 1

  • Uninstall the Apex Legends
  • Go back to Nvidia Geforce 417.71 drivers
  • Restart your computer
  • Reinstall the Apex Legends on another harddrive
  • Try playing the game

FIX 2

Try running as administrator.


FIX 3

Enable the vsync.


FIX 4

If you are playing in BORDERLESS mode, switch it to FULLSCREEN MODE.


FIX 5

! This is especially for AMD users !

Start > Run > type regedit > Enter

32bit

  • Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers"
  • Create a key of type "DWORD (32-bit)" and name TdrDelay with a value of 10 as Decimal value.

64bit

  • Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers"
  • Create a key of type QWORD (64-bit) and name TdrDelay with a value of 10 as Decimal value.

Restart your PC, then run the game.


FIX 6

If overclock is enabled, disable it. Also you should try to underclock your GPU.


There is no definitive solution to this problem. Sorry about that.
