As you know, Assassin's Creed Syndicate was provided free of charge at the Epic Games store. But, many players were unable to run the game on PC. I explained the solutions to this problem, how to run the game. I also shared alternative solutions. These fixes also work for those who buy the AC Syndicate on Steam or directly on Uplay.
Method #1
When I start the game, the logo pops up. Process is still running. After a few seconds, the play button reappears. So I can't play the game.
If you run Uplay as an administrator and set the folder path in Uplay, the problem will be resolved.
- Firstly, exit the Uplay application. Make sure the Uplay is not on the taskbar (at the bottom-right corner) or in the Task manager (upc.exe)!
- Run the Uplay as an administrator
- Go to the Games menu in the Uplay.
- Find the Assassin's Creed Syndicate on the list and click it to go into the game's page.
- Click on the "Locate installed game", below the Download button.
- In the new window that opens, locate the folder location where the game is installed. ( e.g. C:\Program Files\Epic Games\AssassinsCreedSyndicate )
- Once the game's files have been successfully verified, you can play the game.
Method #2
- Go to the folder where the game is installed.
- Open the _CommonRedist folder.
- Install & repair the DirectX and vcredists
Method #3
I suggest you update the your GPU's driver.
People who have an NVIDIA graphics card can download and install their new drivers here.
People who have an AMD graphics card can download and install their new drivers here.
You need to use DDU to completely uninstall the graphics drivers.
Method #4
You should verify the game's files.
On Steam:
- Go to the Steam library
- Right-click on the Assassin's Creed Syndicate, go to Properties.
- Go to the LOCAL FILES tab
- Press the VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES button.
On UPlay:
- Go to the Games menu in the Uplay.
- Find the Assassin's Creed Syndicate on the list and click it to go into the game's page.
- Click on the "Properties" link
- Press the Verify files button.
On Epic Games:
- Run the Epic Games Launcher
- Go to the Library
- Find the Assassin's Creed Syndicate in the list.
- Click the “…” icon to the right of “Assassin's Creed Syndicate”
- Click on the Verify

All my drivers are upadate. I have an issue at the beginning of the game, it does launch but there is a white screen and I cannot see anything but the sound works, the game run. and it is the only one of the serie that does this. Because I have the last one (assassin's creed valhalla), and it's working perfectly.
Do you have a solution that can fix this ?
