Trackmania Fps Boost Guide

There may be people who have performance issues in the new Trackmania game, which is free to play. That's why I created a useful guide for those who have low fps, freezing, memory leak, and stuttering problems in Trackmania.

Especially the memory leak issue seems to be the biggest problem of the game. Do not worry, I will gather all the suggestions in this article and update the guide constantly so that you can solve all the performance problems in the new Trackmania.

Can I run Trackmania

Here's what you need to run the new Trackmania on your PC.

1) Update Your GPU Drivers

If you want to play the game smoothly, you should start by updating the video card drivers first.

The GPU drivers supported in the current version of Trackmania are 451.48 Nvidia and 20.5.1 AMD. Of course this may change in the future, so be sure to always keep the drivers up to date. Use the links below to find the drivers:

AMDhttps://www.amd.com/en/technologies/radeon-software

2) Disable Fullscreen Optimizations

Playing the game in full screen mode is good for performance. But, since full screen optimizations in Windows 10 cause some performance issues and this feature is enabled by default, you should disable the Full Screen Optimizations.

Go to the folder where Trackmania is installed, find the Trackmania.exe and follow the steps in this guide to disable Fullscreen Optimizations.

3) Memory Leak Fix

There is definitely a memory leak in Trackmania. You are very likely to encounter memory leak issue. The game starts lagging after you play for a while. Your time to face this problem may be earlier or later depending on the amount of Ram.

Anyway, just follow the steps in this guide to solve the memory leak issue in Trackmania.

4) Windows Performance Options

If your computer barely runs Trackmania, you can optimize Windows for performance. Follow this to optimize Windows.

5) NVIDIA Control Panel & AMD Radeon Settings

If you want to increase the performance a little more in Trackmania, I recommend you to apply the NVIDIA Control Panel and AMD Radeon settings I have specified.

6) Controller

I don't know why, but sometimes controllers cause performance issues in the game and that's why you get low fps in Trackmania. If it doesn't matter to you, you should unplug the gamepad/controller and try playing the game with your keyboard.

7) Best Graphics Settings for Performance

Those who do not want to compromise on graphics quality do not have to adjust these settings, but it is useful to know which options are affecting performance.

To change the video settings: navigate to Settings > Graphic

Where are the Settings on new Trackmania?

On the main menu, navigate your mouse to the top of your screen, a bar will appear. Then click on the settings icon.

8) Ghosts

Especially in 200-person races, ghost cars cause the frame rate drops. So hit the button 2 on your controller (G on keyboard) during race to turn-off the ghosts. You will get an extra 5-10 fps from that.

To get more fps in Trackmania, definitely read this guide. You will find more tips in that article.
