OMFG! I thought I had tried everything except a format of windows. Disabling services via msconfig worked for me. Thank you so much!
Hi guys..
I have had this game for like 2 months or something like that.. I have tried everything on this list. The game will not launch ( Nor has it ever since day 1) , or show any screen or anything. I have a freind at work who's wife has the same setup as i do, and he said there was something in my graphic card settings to try , but he cant remember it.. i only bought thsi game for the single player part of it, so my son and i could play.
Here are my specs.
Windows 10 Pro
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.30 Ghz
20 gigs of ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Super ( 6 or 8 gigs on the card, i cant remember)
Every game but cod is working fine. None of them works for me.
None of this worked for me, could it be my processor? I'm running an AMD A8-3870. My graphic card is a FirePro v5900 with 2GB GDDR5
It looks like your pc doesn't meet the minimum requirements.
Creating a desktop shortcut gives you a login error when starting up.
Problem Statement: Game starts....connects to Internet and displays the login page. I type my email and password, and the wait icon just spins and spins. The game will never load. This problem statement is not listed here at all. I've downloaded new NVIDA drivers, did the options above #s 1-5. I've waited for 5 minutes and it just spins and will not log in. I would love to give this game a go if I could get it to run! Anyone with any suggestions?
I put my act I'd in as something that the act website would not accept and so now i can't play online at all till i get another token in 6 months and they will not respond to help i I get error message status turtle lost connection to server I need a token
I just bought a new graphics card (for Warzone) and switched from Nvidia (Geforce Gtx 760) to AMD (RX 580).
I installed the new driver without deleting the old Nvidia driver (normally the new driver does this automatically)
The game did not start after. So I deleted the old driver with DDU (Method 4 of this Thread) but still the game won´t start.
I had to reinstall Windows and only then the game would recognize my hardware changed and it started just fine.
Did you get a black screen when u tried loading the game?
Still doesnt my game work i press play and got an error message i did everything maybe someone can help this is my discord

[FIX]Hello guys, a quick FIX. When the activision logo appears, press fast ALT + Enter and then it will be on windowed mode. Set it on fullscreen and that's it
I really dont know. I'm trying to fix for days now. The problem is that I love this game and i dont want to refund it or similar s**t. I have very decent pc specs (i7 2,4GHz, 16gb ram, 1050gtx 4gb and game installed on 1 tb of ssd). The game just crashes after about 10 minutes I play it. No error messages. Please help!
yep me to i try all the methods and nothing
This is gonna sound dumb but literally the times i have issues with this game, i uninstall the game and reinstall it.
I tried a lot, reparing, new installation etc. but it was very simple in the end. I have a NVIDIA GeForce graphic card. If i look into it via Windows it always said the driver is up to date. But if you install GeForce experience there is a really new Game Ready Driver. You can install it as well from the NVIDIA website: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/158181/en-us (this was for my system)
Afterwards the game starts perfectly fine!
For me uninstall and reinstall the game worked.. i had the same prob(shows "the game is running" but nothing really happening and its getting back to launch bottom..
I had the problem that on my new pc call of duty modern warfare would just randomly close. No error messages, just throwing me to the desktop, closing the game.
So after trying to fix cod on my system for a few days, i stumbled across the suggestion to disable ALL non Microsoft services via "msconfig". That worked!
What you do is searching for "msconfig" on your task bar search bar, launch the msconfig.exe, choose the tab called "services", check the box below that says "hide all Microsoft services", then select disable all. Apply. After that you'll have to restart your pc. Now all your non-Microsoft services should be disabled. If the game works now, you can start activating the services you need step by step to pinpoint the service causing the crashes. I just enabled the ones i really need such as my mouse, audio driver etc and didn't bother trying the others cause it still worked.
Hope to help some peeps with this cause this problem was annoying, nothing else seemed to help for my case.
I did #7 #9 #10 and deactivated my Onboardsound, Updatet the Driver vor External Headset Tactical3D, then i removed the Writeprotect for the Folder. The Gamefolder and Battel.net.
If the Intro is coming up Skip it with a Mouseklick and now it works for me. Cant tell where the problem exactly was.
RIG: RYZEN 7 2700X;
32GB RAM;
Geforce 1060 6GB;
WIN 10 1909
maybe it helps someone here
{ FIX } if your running dual monitors the game will NOT Launch. i disabled my second monitor and game started to work perfectly fine
i did it but did not work
With my 2nd monitor ENABLED, the game would start and display some logos and then black screen--no way to play. When I DISABLED my 2nd monitor, the game started normally. Thank you.
I used to get the black screen and crashes, did few of the option on top and then played for a few hours... till I got the blue screen with code CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED
Honestly a little surprising, but just killing my background AutoHotKey process did the trick. No idea how that could be interfering with things, but it really does seem to be as simple as that.
disabling the services is the only way it worked for me.
Hi, nothing has worked from these. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled and updated to windows 1903. nothing has worked so far. any other recommendations?
The only way to make it "work" for me its restarting the pc and after that I get it to run normally but its frustrating
pour moi ces tj pareil ... ecran noir au bout de 5 minute
have done every one of these steps now and not a single one has worked. i have contacted activision as well as infinityward about this problem and have had no reply. i'm at a loss and now i feel i'm stuck $60 out.
I think that #8 solved for me, but I did several other steps too (except #6).
But beware to at least don't shutdown Networking service nor Audio like I did in first time.
When I checked that it worked, I toggled back like 90% of Windows services - the rest stayed turned off.
Thank you for informing us about this.
So when I try method 8, my internet connection and sound stop working, am I doing it wrong?
Select "Hide all Microsoft services", and then click on the "Disable all" button.
Merci, tu gères !! je n'avais pas fait des mises à jours windows..
if your not running version 1903 of Windows 10 it will NOT work
is this true?
no, i'm on Windows 1803 and it works properly
Maybe that is a new enough version but it will not work on the older ones
I try everything listed above, even reinstall it, nothing has worked.
I7-6700, GTX 965m, 16gb ram
windows 10
Disabling precision x1 worked. Thank you dude.
Tried these and none of them worked. My computer specs are ]
1070TI
AMD RYZEN 5
16GB RAM
Windows 10
Well, I'm a victim of the crash. Purchased PC version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Installed it (*** me it's 150+GB install) and pressed PLAY 🙂 🙂 And that's it. Black screen indicating that the game launched, then after 5-6 sec it crashes and a Huge blue "battlenet" button PLAY 🙂 🙂 I'm gonna follow the above mentioned fixes and if any of them work I'll let you know. Currently trying to update Geforce + install Windows 10 updates.
Did any of this solve the problem? 🙁

OK guys. I'm going to investigate this a little bit more.
Ive tried everything you listed. My game starts to a black screen. I can see my cursor and hear the sound of the intro and the menu but thats it. It doesnt crash tho
I actually figured out the problem. I tried everything under the sun. The final thing i did was update to the latest version of windows (1903) and the game runs flawlessly.
thank you for informing us
i found out that if i disable threds it works just fine
No fix for me yet, from the day i bought the game still it's not working, tried everything I found on this problem still having problems with starting a game, all I can get is 2-3 of the intro video and nothing else, hope they fix it soon... Also tried one that is not stated here ALL IN ONE RUNTIMES, it is a program that finds any outdated app-s and it can update it to newest version there is... link for it: https://www.computerbase.de/downloads/systemtools/all-in-one-runtimes/
Maybe it will help some of you, good luck
I already shared that program in method 9. By the way, what is your OS?
