1) Best Graphics Settings for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

You can skip this step if you don’t want to change graphics settings. These High Performance graphics settings are for PCs which close to the minimum system requirements.

If you have a good PC, you can increase the settings slightly.

Go to in-game video options and make sure the settings are as follows.

Options > Graphics

High PerformancePerformance
Display ModeFullscreenFullscreen
Render Resolution50-100100
Aspect RatioAutomaticAutomatic
Sync Every Frame (V-Sync)DisabledDisabled
Texture ResolutionVery LowNormal
Texture Filter AnisotropicLowLow
Particle QualityLowHigh
Bullet Impacts &SpraysDisabledDisabled

Shadow Map ResolutionLowNormal
Cache Spot ShadowsDisabledDisabled
Cache Sun ShadowsDisabledDisabled
Particle LightingLowNormal
DirectX RaytracingDisabledDisabled
Ambient OcclusionDisabledDisabled
Screen Space Reflection (SSR)DisabledDisabled
Anti-AliasingOffOff

If you set the Render Resolution to a lower value allows to increase your FPS but the graphics may be blurry or pixelated in the game.

Also, to avoid stuttering issue, set the “Gameplay Custom Framerate Limit” setting based on the Hz value of your monitor. Set it to 60 for 60 Hz, 144 for 144 Hz.

In fact, the best settings depend on PC specs. The reason I share these settings is because I want you to have an idea of what to reduce and what to increase. Lowering all settings sometimes does not work well. Your settings can cause the bottleneck (100% CPU usage). You can find the best graphics settings by test it out.

Apply Settings and Exit the game.
