Some players of Halo: The Master Chief Collection are experiencing a problem with Easy Anti Cheat. When they try to enter the Halo, the anti-cheat gives an error and they cannot enter the game. If you are having the same issue, have a look at the following.
How to Fix Easy Anti Cheat Error
Probably an application in the background is triggering Easy Anti Cheat. If you are having this problem in the game, closing some of programs is a good place to start. I think you should close applications like Antivirus, Discord, Skype. Also, try to exit background programs such as VPN, Spotify, MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision X1, RTSS Rivatuner, ASUS GPU Tweak II, Fraps, Razer Synapse, Keyboard&Mouse software, Nvidia GeForce Experience, AutoHotKey, script apps.
Instead of closing all programs individually, you can start Windows in safe mode or disable some of the services on System Configuration.
- Type the msconfig on Windows search box.
- Press Enter key
- Go to the Services tab.
- Select “Hide all Microsoft services”
- Click on the “Disable all” button.
- Finally click on the OK button.
- Restart the PC.
Also, if you have a mod installed, the anti-cheat will not allow Halo: The Master Chief Collection to launch.
