Diablo Immortal Crashing Issues at Startup or During the Gameplay - Diablo Immortal, a free-to-play massively multiplayer online action role-playing video game, is now available for Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS. After Diablo Immortal's release, many PC players have been reporting crashing issues.
In this article, I will go over a few solutions to fix Diablo Immortal crashing on Windows PC. I will also explain the issues that some players are reporting and how to work around them.
1. Scan and Repair
If you are experiencing crashes on launch, this is likely a Battle.net app install issue. Repairing Diablo Immortal might help to fix the problem. To do this in the Battle.net app, follow these steps:
- Open up the Battle.net application on your PC.
- Go to the Games tab.
- Select Diablo Immortal
- Click Options
- Select the "Scan and Repair" and click Begin Scan
If there are corrupt files, the application will download them when the scan is complete. Then try to run the game.
2. Update the graphics driver
To play Diablo Immortal without any issue, ensure your graphical drivers are up-to-date. There may be sudden crashes in the middle of the game if the graphics drivers are not up to date. The game may not even run.
You can update the GPU drivers by using your graphics card's application (NVIDIA GeForce Experience / AMD Adrenalin) or downloading the latest drivers from the links below.
3. Install or repair Visual C++ Redistributables
Visual C++ Redistributables contains the necessary files to be able to play Diablo Immortal on your Windows PC. So you should check them out.
You can use the Windows control panel to repair Visual C++ Redistributables. But I recommend you to download and install them from Microsoft's website. Alternatively, you can install all VCRedist Visual Studio C++ runtimes using Techpowerup's utility. For more info, see the steps in: How to install Visual C++ Redistributables
Lastly, don't forget to restart your computer!
If your game launch/crash is not solved with these methods, please leave a comment with your PC specs.
