For some PlayStation users, Call of Duty: Vanguard keeps freezing frequently.
It freezes the PlayStation completely, so they have to pull the power to reset the PlayStation.
You can fix this freezing issue with a setting easily.
To fix it, you should turn off the "On-demand Texture Streaming". Just follow these steps:
- Open the Call of Duty: Vanguard's Options menu on your PlayStation.
- Go to Graphics tab.
- Disable the "On-demand Texture Streaming"
An additional suggestion, creating a new database on PlayStation (PS4/PS5) may resolve the COD Vanguard freezing issues. Follow these steps to create a new database on PlayStation:
- Turn off your PlayStation by pressing the power button.
- Press and hold the power button until you hear two quick beeps to enter safe mode on PlayStation.
- Connect your controller with a USB cable.
- Press the PlayStation button on your controller.
- Scroll down and select Rebuild Database

Im getting the same issues and have looked into my internet setting to ensure i had all ports forwarded etc. It is stuttering a lot and my playstation party chat is breaking up at the same time and causing me to sound like a robot. And even the playstation main menu starts to freeze after.
It looks like it works when you go to the settings and turn off the on demand textures thanks for the advice

did it work? because when I run vanguard on ps4 it freezes and can't go back to open the PS menu or turn off the console having to unplug the power plug which destroys my console. Anyone have a solution? I have never been able to launch a single game its freeze in the menu or its load in search of party before totally freeze I have a 1GO fiber connection

Its not a setting in the game causing this its a code line that has been fudged. Warzone and Modern Warfare was designed with the same game design software and game engine. If this setting was the issue it would be happening in all 3 games not just 1. I believe the games release date should have been pushed back and the team should have made sure all code was sound. And that the software to the game should be compatible with PS4 and PS5 and any of the Xbox series its released on.

I got the same issue and I don’t even have the on demand texture thing downloaded.
I don't have it downloaded either, it usually freezes right at the end of a match on the loading screen.
