Lost Ark - How to fix: Game Security Violation Detected

Why does the Lost Ark Game Security Violation Detected error occur? Why does this error occur at startup, and how to fix it?

This error is usually accompanied by one of the following messages:

"Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000D) [hid.exe]"
"Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000D) [ROGLiveService.exe]"
"Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000D) [LightingService.exe]"

This error happens to some unlucky players in Lost Ark and various other games on Steam.

I'm pretty sure it pissed off players who couldn't find the cause of the error. In this post, we will clarify this together.

How to fix Lost Ark Game Security Violation Detected error

As you know, Lost Ark is protected by an anti-cheat service. This error occurs because Easy Anti-Cheat software detects some applications as malicious due to security measures.

If you are getting this error when trying to launch Lost Ark, find that application whose name is in the square brackets in the error message.

"Game Security Violation Detected" error is usually caused by GSKILL Trident Z Lighting Control Software, ASRock RGB Sync, Asus ROG Aura Sync, and keyboard&mouse software.

To fix this issue, follow these steps:

• Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE keys
• Open Task Manager
• Go to the "Details" tab.
• Find the exe from the list (hid.exe, ROGLiveService.exe, LightingService.exe, etc..)
• Right-click on it.
• Select "End task"
• Then try to launch Lost Ark

You will need to do this after each restart of the PC. Or, you can solve the problem by uninstalling the related application from your PC completely.
