Omega Strikers Won't Launch, Black Screen, Crash Fix

Omega Strikers, a free-to-play 3v3 competitive game, has some technical issues, such as the game not starting, a black screen on startup, and the game crashing. This guide will focus on these issues in Omega Strikers.

How to Fix Omega Strikes Crash and Technical Issues

So if you are facing any issues related to Omega Strikers and looking for fixes or workarounds, you have come to the right place as this article aims to share with you the common fixes to the common problems being experienced by the players related to Omega Strikers.

Fixes and workarounds are listed in order of what solves the most issues, such as black screen , crashing, freezing, and not launching. Start from the top and work your way through the methods.

Method #1

Many players have fixed the black screen issue at launch by opening the VR headset app. Even though Omega Strikes is not a VR game, I don't know why we are encountering this issue.

Anyways, if you have a VR headset plugged in, start your VR Oculus app, then try to launch the game. This is a workaround, but it works, at least.

Method #2

One of the first things you should try for any technical issues you're experiencing with Omega Strikers is to verify the game's file integrity. Then restart Steam.

  • Launch Steam.
  • Go to Library and right-click on Omega Strikes.
  • Select Properties
  • Go to the Local Files tab and hit the "Verify integrity of the game files..." button.
  • When all files are successfully validated, click on Steam from the top left menu in the Steam application and select Exit to close Steam completely.
  • After that, relaunch Steam and check if your game works.

The above steps also solve the problem of getting stuck on the username and password screen when starting the game on Steam, which occurs after new patches.

Method #3

When you try to play the game, if it crashes or does not launch, you should check if there is a DLL file problem or not. To do this, navigate to the folder where Omega Strikes is installed and run the Prometheus-Win64-Shipping.exe. Follow these steps:

  • Open your Steam library.
  • Right-click on Omega Strikes.
  • Click Manage > Browse local files
  • Go to Prometheus > Binaries > Win64
  • Right-click on Prometheus-Win64-Shipping.exe and select Run as administrator.
  • See if an error message comes up.

If there is an error message about DLL files, you may need to install or repair the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables. To install Visual C++ Redistributables, here is a guide that may be useful for you. Or, just google your error message.

Method #4

To get rid of crashes and freezing problems in the game , you should uninstall your graphics drivers with DDU and then download and install the latest GPU driver. I have prepared a guide on how to use DDU. You can follow the steps there.

Use the links below to download the latest graphics card drivers:
